What does 100 Rotten Tomatoes mean? ›

If 60% of reviews are positive, the movie is given a “Fresh” status, but if positive reviews fall below that benchmark, it is deemed “Rotten.” A popular piece of media will typically fall between the 70-90% range, but rarely, a project will receive a 100% score. This means every last review from critics was positive.

In the end, Cecilia kills her partner, just as Amanda Young predicted, and saves herself. Saw X shows that she manages to survive the test, and although the timer counts down to zero and the poisonous gas rescinds, Cecilia is left inside the locked room.

“Saw X” was never really scary, but the relentless gore was certainly horrific in its own terrible way. In the interstices of each violent challenge, Kramer and his sidekick Amanda Young, a reformed drug addict whom Kramer “saves” in the original Saw film, argue about whether their ambitions are just.

To date, Leave No Trace holds the site's record, with a rating of 100% and 252 positive reviews.

But before John and Amanda can take her to the hospital to have her injuries treated, Parker is able to take back his gun and it's revealed that he's actually Cecilia's lover, arriving to save her. He forces them to free Cecilia—and she kills Gabriela.

It wouldn't be remotely surprising if Lionsgate has multiple films on the horizon given how well things have been going in Jigsaw's arena as of late. But, at least for now, the producers of the long-running horror franchise aren't planning to do a sequel to 2021's Spiral: From the Book of Saw.

Saw X was theatrically released by Lionsgate Films on September 29, 2023. It grossed $111 million worldwide and received generally positive reviews from critics, making it the best-reviewed Saw film. A sequel, Saw XI, is scheduled for release on September 26, 2025.

In a twist ending, it is revealed that Amanda is working with John, seeing him as a father figure and working as his apprentice. Amanda claims that the test she experienced in the first film ultimately saved her life, and this is what caused her to join him.

Lionsgate officially confirmed Saw XI with an Instagram post on Monday, and revealed a release date that actually isn't too far away: Sept. 27, 2024.

Cecilia manages to get the upper hand, leaving her scarred but very much alive — the film's producers have hinted that there may be a follow-up to this open ending in the future — but the real shocker is the unapologetic melodrama of the film's closing images.
