How far away from the birds were you?
Welcome to the forum, hope you enoy it.
I can barely remember yesterday, so 10 months ago is just a guess, I'm thinking about 100ft...
Here's another angle farther away at 1500mm. These are BIG birds.

Hi p900learner.....Wow.....the link to your personal photos are simply amazing. They are so crisp and clear and spectacular color ......I do not get that from my P900 ~
I have had my P900 since November 2020, but only getting the chance now to get out and take images of insects and birds now that the weather is warming up. My images are blury and in no comparison to yours. I am not happy with my P900, and I hope you can help me along to even have them look 50% better than they presently are. I do have a mono pod and maybe I should use that.
1. I have set my P dial to the same settings as yours and Crystal, but I am wondering why on all the specialty modes P,A,S,M that the AF Area Mode and Autofocus Mode are greyed out so i cannot make changes. So those settings must be turned off somewhere else within the camera that disables me to make changes where I would like.
Any suggestions......thank you.

Do you perhaps have the camera set to the 3rd (landscape) or 4th (manual focus) options?
